Leeora BlackProponents of CSR have long argued that CSR brings benefits to both business and society. For business, the benefits are good reputation and the chance to avoid or minimise risks to business stability.

But is there more to the business case than that? Can CSR actually create new value for a business, by helping to invent new products, provide services in less costly ways, open new markets or design unique business models? Can it improve the quality of governance and management?
